Our detailed processes make it clear what needs to be done, without being prescriptive – the methodology focuses on the key concepts which need to be completed in each project stage while allowing flexibility depending on the particular project delivery.

Customised framework for specific types of work

SpinnakerOne provides a generic ‘core’ stream of the methodology which allows it to be applied to all types of work; however we recognise that sometimes a specialist approach is required (for example for a particular size or style or project). Our customised ‘streams’ provide a targeted and detailed methodology allowing staff to focus on the specifics of project delivery for the type of project they are working on.

Templates

SpinnakerOne provides all required key templates required for project delivery. These not only allow quick and consistent creation of documents, but also include instructions and guidelines for carrying out the delivery process. The templates cover all the key concepts included in the processes to ensure that all areas are covered, however remains flexible when additional information or a streamlined approach is required. The templates are designed to add value, not overhead – so documentation will not to be arduous, but simply capture clearly and concisely the information required for a smooth delivery.

Training

In addition to our standard induction programme, all DWS staff are required to undertake a full-day SpinnakerOne training program to provide as an introduction to the methodology. You will go through the key aspects of project and service delivery, focusing on the why and how we use the methodology as well as being given the toolset to apply SpinnakerOne to any situation. Project experienced members of our company present each section providing a real-life approach to training including tips, tricks and war stories to better convey the why and how of the approach.
